The project

TimeTravelRome is the most comprehensive mobile app dedicated to the ancient Roman Empire. Recent updates made in September 2019 have expanded and improved it still further. The app is available for iOS and Android

Strategy

This history/travel app let user explore the whole Roman empire. User is free to download and browse the app and read thousands of original texts about ancient Roman places located on the map. The app provides also a Pro version with extra features to the users such as ranking and extra original texts. Last but not least: in July 2019 we added visuals ! We start with Rome, but there will be thousands of pics for hundreds of Roman sites and monuments.

The goal

The main goal of our team was to create a comprehensive mobile application for the ancient Roman Empire that will contain all the information that any traveller needs.

The Process

Plans are of little importance, but planning is essential.

Analysis

During this phase we translate stakeholders needs and expectations into a viable set of software requirements. This phase is necessary in order to ensure that everyone related to the project understands it and is aligned with its goal and requirements.

Wireframes

Wireframes are a navigable prototype of how the application will work. They are not a final representation of the design. They look like simple skeletons of your website without the visual polish of the finished design, allowing us to experiment and iterate on solutions quickly so that we have a good sense of how content should be laid out across different screen sizes. Having the wireframes we can easily create the designs and give them to our customer

Development

Once our customer have approved the design, we’ll start building it. This phase is a quiet phase in terms of feedback, since it has been collected from the previous steps. This phase will contain also the database design which is an important step in order achieve the maximum speed and functionality. One of our main goals in this step is to adjust the final product in any screen size in order to accomplish end-user satisfaction.

Testing

Last but not least is the Testing phase, where we will test the project with multiple test cases scenarios. Any finding results on this procedure will be debugged and corrected before the final delivery of the project.
