The project

The re-construction of the website of anavasi maps was the main goal of this project. Beyond the maps, guides or books, Anavasi stands for a different worldview, focused on hiking and mountaineering, and the quest for a harmonious existence of man in natural spaces. Our second goal was to highlight that through the newly designed website

Technical

The website has been built with the use of opencart cms. Users are able to download not only physicals but digital maps as well via the store. The e-shop supports payments with visa, mastercard or even paypal.

The goal

The main goal was to redesign the website and include the digital maps in the products of the e-shop.

The Process

Plans are of little importance, but planning is essential.

Analysis

During this phase we translate stakeholders needs and expectations into a viable set of software requirements. This phase is necessary in order to ensure that everyone related to the project understands it and is aligned with its goal and requirements.

Wireframes

Wireframes are a navigable prototype of how the application will work. They are not a final representation of the design. They look like simple skeletons of your website without the visual polish of the finished design, allowing us to experiment and iterate on solutions quickly so that we have a good sense of how content should be laid out across different screen sizes. Having the wireframes we can easily create the designs and give them to our customer

Development

Once our customer have approved the design, we’ll start building it. This phase is a quiet phase in terms of feedback, since it has been collected from the previous steps. This phase will contain also the database design which is an important step in order achieve the maximum speed and functionality. One of our main goals in this step is to adjust the final product in any screen size in order to accomplish end-user satisfaction.

Testing

Last but not least is the Testing phase, where we will test the project with multiple test cases scenarios. Any finding results on this procedure will be debugged and corrected before the final delivery of the project.
