ASD-INtoJOB

ASD-INtoJOB is an Erasmus+ funded initiative that aims to improve employment opportunities for young people on the autism spectrum by providing practical digital tools that support every stage of the employability journey. Developed by a consortium of European partners, the project focuses on making career preparation more accessible through structured guidance, interactive learning, and inclusive design.

For this project, we were responsible for the design and development of the ASD-INtoJOB mobile application using Flutter, delivering a single codebase for both iOS and Android. Our objective was to create an application that is simple to navigate, visually clear, and accessible for users with different cognitive and communication needs while maintaining a consistent experience across platforms.

The application guides users through a structured pathway that includes identifying personal strengths, exploring suitable career opportunities, preparing CVs and cover letters, developing interview skills, practicing workplace communication, and tracking progress throughout the employment preparation process. Every section was designed with usability, clarity, and accessibility in mind, ensuring users can focus on learning and building confidence without unnecessary complexity.

Beyond the user experience, the application was engineered for long-term maintainability and scalability, allowing project partners to manage and expand educational content as the initiative evolves. Flutter enabled efficient cross-platform development while delivering native-like performance, smooth interactions, and a consistent interface on both iOS and Android devices.

The result is a modern, accessible, and purpose-driven mobile application that supports the goals of the ASD-INtoJOB project by helping young autistic individuals prepare for employment, develop practical workplace skills, and gain greater independence through technology.
